One of the most important duties of any elected official is to protect the people they represent. Over the years we have seen our judicial system take a soft stance on crime while our prison system has become nothing more than a revolving door for our most hardened criminals. We must come to terms with the fact that there are some people on this Earth that cannot be rehabilitated, and must be isolated from the rest of the community. This stance must not only apply to murderers, but also to the monsters that prey upon the most innocent members of our society -- our children.

If elected, I will always vote to ensure we keep habitual violent offenders off the streets and away from our families. I will also advocate for the manditory sentencing of level 3 sex offenders in cases with children involved. We must also increase the availability of DNA testing which will assist law enforcement solve violent crimes quickly and efficiently. The rights of violent offenders should never eclipse the pain and suffering of the victims left in the wake.
